On what connected us, what brought us together

Was it the laughter we shared, or the tears we cried?
Or was it something deeper, something unseen?

I remember the first time our eyes met

We were two souls, lost in a sea of faces
But in that moment, we found each other

It was your smile that drew me in
The way your eyes lit up when you laughed
I knew then, that you were someone special
Someone who would change my life forever

We talked for hours, about everything and nothing
Our conversations flowing like a river
I felt like I could tell you anything
And you, in turn, shared your deepest thoughts with me

Vulnerability is a gift we give
To those we trust, those we believe
It’s a bridge that spans the divide
Between two souls, side by side

So let us embrace our vulnerability
Let us wear it with dignity
For in our vulnerability, we find freedom
To be ourselves, without the need for pretension

Let us be open, let us be true
Let us let our vulnerability shine through
For in our vulnerability, we find power
To live fully, in every hour

So let us be unafraid to show
The depths of our hearts, the highs and lows
For in vulnerability, we find love
A love that’s pure, a love that’s enough

Let us be vulnerable, let us be brave
For in vulnerability, we find the strength to save
Ourselves and others from the walls we create
To find a connection, to find a fate

So let us embrace our vulnerability
And let it be our guiding key
To unlock the doors and set us free
To be who we are, authentically

Vulnerability is not a burden to bear
It’s a light that shines, a truth to share

Surrender

February 25th, 2024

In the quiet hush of dawn,
I stand at the edge of a vast ocean,
Gazing out at the endless expanse of water,
Feeling the weight of the world on my shoulders.

I am weary from the battles I’ve fought,
The struggles I’ve faced,
The wounds I’ve incurred,
And I know that I can’t go on like this.

So I surrender.

I surrender to the ebb and flow of the tide,
To the gentle lapping of the waves against the shore,
To the rhythm of the universe,
That beats in time with my own heart.

I let go of my fears,
Of my doubts,
Of my insecurities,
And I let myself be carried away by the current.

I surrender to the beauty of the moment,
To the soft whisper of the wind in my ears,
To the intoxicating scent of salt in the air,
To the warm embrace of the sun on my skin.

I surrender to the power of nature,
To the wisdom of the earth,
To the vastness of the sky,
To the depth of the sea.

I close my eyes and breathe deeply,
Allowing myself to be enveloped by peace,
By serenity,
By surrender.

I feel a weight lift off my shoulders,
A burden release from my soul,
And I am filled with a sense of freedom,
Of liberation,
Of surrender.

I am no longer fighting against the currents,
No longer struggling to stay afloat,
No longer resisting the inevitable,
I surrender.

I surrender to the unknown,
To the unseen,
To the unpredictable,
And I embrace it with open arms.

I surrender to the beauty of life,
To the pain,
To the joy,
To the sorrow.

I surrender to the flow of existence,
To the cycle of birth and death,
To the impermanence of all things,
And I find solace in the surrender.

I surrender to the power of love,
To the beauty of connection,
To the depth of emotion,
And I am overwhelmed by the strength of surrender.

I surrender to the universe,
To the divine,
To the mystery of it all,
And I am filled with a sense of awe,
Of wonder,
Of surrender.

And as the sun sets over the horizon,
And the stars begin to twinkle in the darkening sky,
I bow my head in reverence,
In gratitude,
In surrender.

For in surrendering,
I have found peace,
I have found freedom,
I have found myself.

And I know that no matter what lies ahead,
No matter what challenges may come,
I can always find solace,
In surrender.
