The Neptune Gong Challenge is open to anyone who wishes to participate. All you need is a Neptune Gong and a willingness to explore. Each day, I will provide a short prompt or exercise to help you get the most out of your gong practice. I hope you will join me on this journey of self-discovery!
Soften Your Edges
Softening your edges is about being open and flexible enough to adjust to the environment without becoming overwhelmed or defensive. In today’s exercise, we will be using the Neptune Gong to gently move energy through our bodies, helping us to achieve a sense of calmness, connection with our inner selves, and a feeling of openness.
Before you begin, you will need a Neptune Gong and three cushions or yoga mats. Lie down on your back with your feet spread apart and your palms up. Make sure that your head, neck, and shoulders are supported by the cushions. Place the Neptune Gong at the top of your head, being careful that the surface is flat.
Start by setting an intention. Visualize the energy within you and around you becoming soft, flexible, and open. As you hit the Gong, take deep breaths in and out, imagining the sound vibrating through your body and softening the edges of your energy. Allow yourself to open up to this expanded energy and explore the sensations that emerge.
Once you have finished, take a few moments to sit up and take in this new energy. As you focus on maintaining this openness, set the intention to keep this feeling of lightness and expansion with you throughout the day.
