When I Realized I Don’t Need People Anymore

In the quiet solitude of self,

A realization dawns, a truth unfurled,

No longer bound by another’s hold,

I find within me a strength untold.

Once upon a time, I sought approval,

Craved validation from others’ eyes,

But now I see, with newfound clarity,

That my worth lies not in their replies.

No longer shackled to their expectations,

I soar on wings of self-discovery,

For in my heart, I’ve found the key,

To unlock the door to my own sanctuary.

With every step, I grow bolder,

Embracing freedom, a path uncharted,

No longer reliant on another’s hand,

I stand alone, yet never brokenhearted.

For I am complete, a whole entity,

In the tapestry of life, a vibrant thread,

Realizing I possess the strength within,

To navigate the journey, where it may lead.

No longer do I yearn for their presence,

For I’ve found solace in my own embrace,

In this newfound independence,

I discover the beauty of my own grace.

So here I stand, a testament to resilience,

Empowered by the knowledge I’ve gained,

That I don’t need anyone to define my worth,

For in myself, an unwavering strength remains.
