Nightmares

In shadows of the night, they creep,
Nightmares haunt us as we sleep.
Eyes wide shut, we start to fear,
The twisted visions drawing near.

They dance in darkness, eerie and wild,
A maze of thoughts, a tortured mind.
Monsters lurk, with fangs and claws,
Feeding on our deepest flaws.

We toss and turn, in restless sheets,
As nightmares weave their wicked feats.
Phantoms chase, with chilling cries,
Through the realm where terror lies.

But fear not, for dawn will break,
And nightmares fade, like morning’s wake.
In daylight’s warmth, we find our way,
From the clutches of the night’s dismay.

So face the nightmares, brave and strong,
For in their darkness, we grow long.
They teach us lessons, deep and true,
To conquer fears and start anew.

And when we wake, from slumber’s hold,
We’ll find that nightmares have made us bold.
For in the depths, where darkness lies,
We’ll rise above, with spirits that fly.
